Effective leadership for Bridgewater’s future.

I’ve been a Bridgewater resident since 1990, and I really love the unique qualities of the town and all of its amenities. I have been married to my beautiful wife Linda for almost 20 years and we have 3 great kids, Lauren 14, Jackie 12 and Caroline 8.  My children all attend school in the Bridgewater Raynham Regional School District.

Bridgewater is facing many challenges.  The economic downturn coupled with years of poor financial leadership has created the perfect storm for Bridgewater.  Based upon preliminary town and school budgets submissions, that only maintain level services, Bridgewater is facing close to a $3,500,000 shortfall for the FY 2011 budget that is set to begin on July 1, 2010.  This will have a devastating impact on town and school services if not addressed immediately.

More than ever, the town needs leaders with insight into the financial situation we are facing who have the ability to make tough, fair and balanced decisions. As Chairman of the Advisory Board, I am very knowledgeable on the Town and School budgets and can make these tough decisions.  Professionally, I am a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 23 years of experience in auditing and finance.

Despite our challenges, I am confident that with good leadership, thoughtful ideas and continued community support, we can make Bridgewater into a town that others would envy.  I hope you will consider voting for me on April 24th.
